It's not a part of it's workprocess, it isn't meant to check grub2win versions according to current implementations. The grub2win installer itself would handle version changes the best. The installer fails to check whether grub2win is already installed even in the default location, C:\.
It also fails to check the grub2win version and offer to update to the latest version of grub2win during installation.
Again, this is not part of the installer's workprocess, grub2win installer deals with it, not theFinally, the installer fails to accomodate encrypted windows drives for the grub2win element when it should give the user the option during installation to install all the grub2win efi boot elements including the config file etc to the efi partition grub2win folder. Correct, it's meant to be like that.it will even over write a newer version of grub2win with your old version If your grub2win is checkboxed within your installer.
Okay, I'll note it out. Basically I never happened to need an encrypted NTFS partition. Will need to create one and run experiments in my spare time to better understand what's happening and what needs to be done. Also your advanced installer should also check if C: is an encrypted drive, if it is it should advise the user of this and offer the option to run grub2win in such a way to install the whole boot config to the efi partition via its advanced mode, otherwise it places the grub config files on C: and just fails to boot.
