1. I want to buy a additional ram for my laptop .
I have a ryzen 5 5600h . My laptop has 2 ram slots , one is preinstalled with factory ram at 1600mhz . Now the problem is i cant decide to buy what type of ram i want to buy . Going on amazon i found crucial 8gb 3200mts ram . Googling a bit i found out 3200mts is equivalent of 1600mhz ram , But according to amd ,my laptop supports 3200mhz ram .
1. So is my ram speed crippling my performance ?
2. Is 3200mhz ram same as 3200mts ram , since i read on reddit that both are sometimes used interchangeably .?
3. If they are different , should installing 3200mhz ram have compatibility issues on my laptop since the factory installed ram is 1600mhz ?
4. should installing 3200mhz ram increase my performance on my laptop , if not should installing 2 sticks of 3200mhz make a difference ?

Instead of switching to MT/s to denote speed manufacturers kept reporting in the understood standard (MHz). A RAM module with 1600MHz clock cycle and 3,200MT/s data rate may be advertised as 3,200MHz, which is technically incorrect. The practice has continued to this day.

If you use two ram sticks with different speed at same time . The higher will work at the speed of lower one .

And according to AMD website 5600H supports 3200MT/s

Thanks , so going for the crucial 8gb 3200mts ram should be perfect for my pc .
