I was wondering if DSU would work on Arch x86 I mean on PC it has dual boot mode I guess DSU would be a not very useful feature if it was on PC

To dual boot you must configure bootloader, make partitions or allocate space, lot of work has to be done. DSU works differently and is way more user friendly opposed to dual boot. And DSU lets you boot GSI, which means you can try latest Android versions and custom ROMs GSI on your PC without waiting for an PC port. And it re-uses vendor partition and drivers from stock OS, only the system image is booted.

You know the Treble GSI project is really interesting on mobile because it really makes the phone so free to custom even though no custom rom has been made for that phone yet.
  • You can use DSU for those who are afraid of the permanent bootloop risk
  • And you can use twrp for hardware freedom there are some hardware for example the output jack doesn't work in DSU mode

I have used GSI rom on Realme C21, it was a nice experience, only disadvantage i had is fingerprint were not functional.

Well some hardware functions don't work on some devices.
the most fatal thing in the GSI ROM is offline charging which is stuck on many devices.

Many things.

Existence of /system/addon.d folder.
Few properties returned by getprop.
Existence of some system apps.

Usually dealing with first one is enough.

I hate legacy mode because this partition can't create more even I prefer caleron with uefi mode compared to i3 with legacy mode

Actually I can set it to high but I just tested 60 fps because in previous kernels this option made the PC shutdown

the i3-2350m is more disappointing than the caleron n2820 even though the speed is faster but it's not good for doing anything other than windows

Mesa 12 dont work and mesa 17 has problem when play fifa i need use mesa 18 with low graphic and if overheat that laptop instantly shutdown

The problem is solved about mesa 12 where the cause is EXT4 which doesn't seem to work somehow it causes Graphics errors when using mesa 12.

I cannot go back to windows after experiencing Arch with i3 . Now I understand why windows window management is so shit.

@AXON Yes. When Android x86 was on the rise, I wasn't very enthusiastic. Back then, I just tried installing Phoenix OS (the best x86 android so far) and then left it. After a while, I just came back and noticed that the Android x86 community was down and a lot of Android x86 distro projects were abandoned.

Now, I regret and miss those days.

Nice, it was built for Android 9 and newer only. It uses some APIs avaliable in newer SDK. Well developing for Android 7 is not that worth, you already have many working keymappers, the PhoenixOS keymapper is widely considered as the "best keymapper" people will use it over anything else
