Use initrd-magisk for root.I also have the same issue as "madlonewolf" (11th gen i7), disabling Secure Boot will not fix loading into installation, instead I have to extract all files from the Blissos iso onto an ext4 partition and use grub2win bootloader in order to get a boot.
After testing many android x86 iso's on my current PC Tablet, none of them goes into the installation (black screen) rarely load the live version (usually black screen), using grub2win made some of these android x86 iso's boot, but some had issues either with Bluetooth, touch screen, audio, gyro sensor. I remember my older PC Tablet goes into the installation and can boot nearly every android x86 iso's with few to no hardware issues.
But these builds posted here are the best ones I found so far and stable for my current PC. Nearly all hardware works properly and can load many of my older games. Bluetooth finally works, which allows me to use my gamepads and wireless headset. The only Problem I am having is that something is Forcing Landscape view (i need auto-rotation for my tablet), i tried changing configuration with launchers included with these builds, even in settings tried changing things and also tried changing many settings with included auto-rotation app, and could NOT get it to rotate the screen automatically.
Also Audio (speaker) & mic are not working, but audio in a Bluetooth headset does work, otherwise app compatibility and system stability is great. I know for a fact that the auto rotation hardware does work in my tablet because certain gyro sensor games are able rotate, but i need auto rotation to work at will and to disable what ever is causing forced landscape.
if someone has a solution to get auto rotation to work properly, i would highly appreciated some feedback.
lastly, I need help "ROOTING" these builds, every method that I know for root, will not work on these build.
If the build has KernelSU, then you will have to use kernelSU manager app.
