bro edit the build.prop and you can fake the version Lemme tell u the steps
1.go to the system(root)/system
2.and u will see a file called "build.prop" open it on ur text editer and just change the android version then restart ur pc and it will open like before but when u go to settings and watch the device version u can see it is changed to the version u entered to build.prop

It keeps the OS reading as android 7 not 8 and if you change sdk then the OS will crash instead.

Bruh, it's not that simple to update Android OS.
