Recently my windows is infected by aeur virus (RANSOMWARE). My one whole drive is infected, each and every file (photos, music, videos, software, text documents) is infected.
Q. What it actually does?
Ans. It permanently encrypt your file and change it extension to .aeur
The way to decrypt your files is to pay Ransom 980$:D
Watched tons of videos on youtube + surfed 100 of websites, but there is no fix to decrypt .aeur files.
If anyone has some fix, please share it here.
(Don't download any cracked softwares for pc, it might have come from there only, as far from my knowledge)
Here are the screenshot of encrypted files and a note from 'Ransom'

Sorry to hear it but K_K
If such infection occurs , i wont be hesitant to reinstall windows as i do it quite regularly .
Actually I do have some questions
can you explain in detail how did you get it if you know it so that we can be safe?
Does it affect drives other than C: drive ( System drive)?
Does it affect cloud storage drives like dropbox , onedrive etc?

I would go mad if it encrypts my 40gb collection of isos of numerous linux and android-x86 distros:mad:

I have already reinstalled fresh window. But the encryption in the files still remains there.
No, neither it will infect your main windows boot drive, nor cloud storage.

Don't know the particular websites, but downloading cracked version of any software can be the reason for the presence of the virus.

obviously encryption will remain , you need to format your drive while installing windows from bootable usb or cd/dvd or buy decryptor and in many cases people have so much valuable data that they pay the amont that the ransom say but still they dont get the decryptor and encryption remains

Well well, My Pc Also Get Infected With This Type Of Ransomware LAST Year!
The Encrypted Data Is Very Difficult to Decrypt if You Don't Have The Decryption Key! There's A Website https://www.emsisoft.com Visit that there you may found a decryption tool for your Encrypted files or otherwise there is no way to recover your files!
