Things you should consider before buying RAM :
  • Make sure your laptop supports that much memory ( Limited by your motherboard )
  • Know if it's SODIMM form factor ( RAM for Laptop )
  • DDR Standard ( DDR3 or DDR4, You can find which one your laptop supports by searching on the internet or checking with some software )
  • Clock Speed ( Know the max clock speed supported by your mother board before buying a RAM )
  • If your laptop has 2 slots then it's recommended to use the same type of RAM on both slots ( Buy something similar to the previous one )
To get information about your current RAM, you can use CPUZ to find out. Click here to visit their official site.

You can find the relevant info on the official product page or some websites where they provide technical specs about your laptop.

i know this wont be of much help but i got my 4gb ram upgraded to 8gb directly from the dell shop . It cost around 3000 Rs . For your information , the ram speed is 2667 MHz . It should be a DDR4 ram sodimm . 4gb or more doesnt matter(but 4gb is recommended) . I would recommend doing the upgrade from a shop because i had a bad experience while buying ram and you can always get back to them if something does not work.

Note : Although the cpu supports 3200mhz ddr4 sodimm memory , dont buy it because the ram installed is of 2667 MHz
