Android has forced vsync. Is there a tweak, patch or some way to disable it?
I want to do this mainly because I want to run the games at their maximum FPS capabilities that allow it, without having to resort to changing the refresh rate of my monitor.
I put Cod Mobile as an example, there is a magisk module that I use on my cell phone to unlock the 120 FPS option and it works perfectly since my screen is 120hz, but in Androidx86, despite unlocking that option with the same module, the game will stay at 60FPS due to the forced vsync that Android has, since my monitor is 60hz. I would like to get those 120 FPS with a 60hz monitor like in games on Windows.
I do not want to do this for visual fluency since it would be impossible to perceive at 60hz, I want this because in Cod Mobile and some other games, having 120 FPS or more gives you advantages in the engine and I think that in Androidx86 it is not necessary to force vsync .
